Harvard Allston Education Portal Art Galleries

175 North Harvard St., Allston, MA

September 26 – November 3, 2013

Public wine reception – September 26, 2013

Diana Weiske: Petals & Places, curated by Ruth Rieffanaugh, is a lively colorfest in oil on canvas. Impressionistic florals and picture-postcard scenes in luscious, bold hues with active brushstrokes keep the viewer engaged.

Diana Weiske, a member of Unbound Visual Arts,  is an artist residing in Brighton, MA. She came to live in Brighton as a graduate student at Boston College (MA, Biology), and decided to make Brighton her home. She has taken studio-painting courses during the past 10 years. Her work is influenced by the bright colors of the expressionist artists, particularly the Blue Rider Group. Diana paints primarily in oils. This is her first one-person exhibition.
