Mae Stroshane is a long-time Boston songwriter, pianist, and writer. She and her husband Rich have lived in Brighton for 30 years, on the same street. An active community member, Mae has provided piano music for Unbound Visual Arts events since 2014. Classically trained as a music major in college, she turned to composing at age 18 and is now celebrating a 40-year career in music.
Many of her songs pay tribute to beloved family members and notable historic figures who devoted their lives to personal and political freedom. These include Fa Mulan, Amelia Earhart, Mohandas Gandhi, and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Currently, Mae serves as music director/composer at First Congregational Church in Saugus, where she provides original music for their weekly services.
