April Jakubec

April Jakubec is a mental health advocate who paints as a sort of self-therapy to cope with her own mental health diagnoses. The eyes of the diverse “flowerful women” are covered with sparkling blooms, representing both the pain and resilience that stem from living with mental health struggles.

She aims to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health issues by creating positive and bright portraits of women’s mental health and promoting humanizing conversations around her work.
