Artist Statement:
My grandfather would stand me, as a toddler, on a kitchen chair to help him make tiny little meat balls for his famous “meat ball soup”. My love for food and cooking started then. As a painting student, I struggled with a paint brush. My teacher had me try a pallet knife. I felt I could paint then because painting with a pallet knife is like frosting a cake. I found the ability to paint from my kitchen and so it was only natural that I find beauty to paint from my kitchen.
