Donor Advised Funds (DAF)
A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a centralized charitable account. Donors can choose their own Fidelity Charitable®, Schwab Charitable®, and the BNY Mellon Charitable Gift Fund® to make a donation to Unbound Visual Arts.
DAF makes it easy for charitably inclined individuals, families, and businesses to make tax-deductible charitable donations of cash, publicly-traded stock, and, in some cases, certain liquid assets, to a public charity, like Unbound Visual Arts.
Give from your IRA
If you are 70 1/2 years old or older, you can give up to $100,000 annually from your individual IRA directly to a qualified organization such as UVA without having to pay income taxes on the distribution. This popular option is commonly called the IRA charitable rollover, a qualified charitable distribution or QCD. To initiate the gift, contact your IRA administrator in person or on their website.
Company Matches
Many companies will double charitable contributions made by their employees. Check with your company’s Human Resources Department or check your company’s website. Many companies use Benevity, where Unbound Visual Arts is certified, for their employees to donate directly to non-profits.
Bequests
Donating through your will is one of the easiest way to donate to help support Unbound Visual Arts’ long term sustainability. Contact UVA or your legal advisor.
